Journey with Biophotonics into the Middle Kingdom: IPHT Director Receives Appointment as a Visiting Professor in China
Prof. Dr. Jürgen Popp, scientific director at IPHT Jena and chair of the physical chemistry department at the University of Jena, has been appointed to lecture as a visiting professor for the next three years at the University of Wuhan. Vice President of the University, Prof. Li Qingquan, highlighted Dr. Popp’s important international role in the field of biophotonics in his speech commemorating Popp’s inaugural visit in Wuhan. It is his hope that Dr. Popp will use his time as visiting professor to strengthen the exchange and collaboration in research between the Universities of Jena and Wuhan, said Li.
