Josephson Voltage Standards (JVS) are based on highly integrated superconducting microwave circuits. They provide output voltages with an accuracy of 10-10, which makes them applicable as a primary calibration standard for high precision instrumentation. In collaboration with the German National Institute Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) the IPHT has developed Josephson voltage standard chips based on a Niobium/Aluminum technology. 10 Volt circuits as well as programmable 1 Volt circuits are prepared.

In collaboration with the company Supracon AG a complete 3 channel microprocessor controlled 10V Josephson voltage standard system was developed. The system can be operated with a Closed Cycle Refrigerator or with Liquid Helium.

Josephson voltage standard systems, circuits and all components are commercially available via the company Öffnet einen externen Link in einem neuen FensterSupracon AG.
