Micro-flames and micro-flame arrays are of technical interest, e.g., if small components have to be heated. The micro-flame burner shown here was built at IPHT using micro-structuring of glass. OH distributions were measured after excitation with a narrow-band excimer laser at 248 nm. Temperature fields were derived from OH radical distributions.
